Joint TVET College Roadshow concludes with thrilling Allan Gray entrepreneurship Competition
The 2024 Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Month Roadshow embarked on by marketing officials from eight Eastern Cape (EC) TVET Colleges, concluded today with the regional rounds of the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Competition. The competition was hosted by King Hintsa TVET College at its iDutywa Campus.
The Roadshow started on 19 August 2024 and commenced at Port Alfred. Over the course of the 5 days nine schools were visited. The collective effort of social media reporting, marketing and branding of TVET colleges during TVET Month contributes to the 2030 National Development Plan targets. It also assisted in publicizing TVET colleges as first choice for higher learning.
The Allan Gray Makers Entrepreneurship Competition was an ideal ending to the roadshow, as students from the colleges in the province pitched their business ideas in an attempt to secure funding for their entrepreneurial efforts. The following students won in the different categories:

- Samkelo Mqophe – Ikhala TVET
The roadshow concludes today, however the on-line applications for all eight TVET Colleges will open on 2 September 2024.
