Clubbing up for charity

In the quest to live up to its core values of Ubuntu and Sustainable partnerships, King Hintsa TVET College participated in the inaugural TVETCGC Charity Golf Day. This prestigious event was held at the Irene Country Club, Centurion on the 1st December 2023. The Golf Day’s sole purpose was to raise funds for the Kieskammahoek Child and Youth Care Centre an orphanage home in the Amathole District Municipality, that provides shelter and care to over 60 children.

Having been a beneficiary of a state of the art ICT Hub and 500 laptops (worth over 5 million)that was donated by the TVETCGC and FASSET, the college saw it fit to not only support but also part take in the TVETCGC Charity Golf Day. This created a networking platform to allow the institution frontline access to prospective funders and partners that would in future assist the College in getting support whether in the form of funding, placement, or infrastructure.

This good-act was second of its kind for the institution within the same week as the College had earlier in the week donated student desks and office furniture to schools around the Mnquma and Mbhashe Local Municipalities. This indeed rubber stamps the willingness of the institution to assist the less fortunate and also build sustainable partnerships within the same breath.
